Objectives of the Examination
Main Objectives
1. To prepare students for various competitive examinations.
2. To inspire students to know and discover India 's great contributions to philosophy, arts, science and technology.
3. To search talented students at national level and to mentor them.
4. To instil in them national pride.
5. To nurture talented and creative students for India 's future development.
Certification & Scholarships
1. All students obtaining minimum 35% marks in District Level Exam will be awarded certificates.
2. Every school participating in the Knowledge Discovery Exam will be awarded a Certificate.
3. Top 50% of the total no of students from every Group, appearing for Prathama Examination, will be eligible for Dwitiya Examination which will be held at
    State Level provided they obtain min 35% marks.
4. From Dwitiya Exam, Top three students from each group from each state will be selected for Trutiya Examination which will be a National Workshop at Pune.
5. From Trutiya Examination, top 2 students from each group will be declared as 'National Talents' and will be awarded with prizes as:
    a) 1st Prize: Rs.25,000/-
    b) 2nd Prize: Rs.15,000/-
    c) 3rd Prize: Rs.10,000/-
Details about the Knowledge Discovery Examination
About Exam
There will be three levels of Examinations, namely Prathama, Dwitiya & Trutiya. Every level will have a separate test paper. The students will be given an objective type exam paper that is to be solved in the defined time. About 40 per cent questions will be based on school level syllabus and rest of 60 per cent questions will cover General Knowledge, Scientific, Linguistic, Mathematical and Business knowledge as well as Knowledge of Arts and Culture of India and the world. A special emphasis will be on India's great contributions to Science & Technology.
Group
The main idea behind this exmination is to go beyond the conventional school examinations that largely test students memorizing capacity. The students should enrich themselves with the practical world knowledge through knowledge discovery mode.

Exam Fee
Onetime Exam Fee for all the groups 
    -- For Schools from rural areas: Rs 65/- per student.
    -- For Schools from urban areas: Rs 100/- per student.
Exam Date
-- Examination date for Prathama is  December 21, 2008 (Exam Centre will be your School Only).
-- The schedule for Dwitiya & Trutiya examination will be declared along with Prathama Examination result.
